Mumbai Experiences Relief from Heat with Cooler Temperatures

Mumbai has witnessed a significant drop in temperatures, bringing much-needed relief from the recent heatwave. The city's daytime temperatures have fallen by nearly five degrees Celsius, with the Colaba observatory recording a maximum of 34 degrees Celsius. This cooling is attributed to the timely arrival of sea breezes and the weakening of an anti-cyclone system. The India Meteorological Department forecasts stable temperatures around 34 degrees Celsius until March 19, with no immediate rain predicted. The air quality has also improved in some areas, though it remains moderate overall. Residents are advised to stay hydrated and take precautions as temperatures remain above normal. The weather bureau continues to monitor conditions, ensuring no extreme heat spells are expected until at least March 19.
