Mutual Funds Boost Holdings in Adani Green Energy and Other Key Stocks

Mutual funds have significantly increased their stake in Adani Green Energy and four other Adani Group companies during March, reflecting renewed confidence in the conglomerate’s growth prospects. The latest data reveals that fund houses raised their exposure in Adani Green Energy by 114.51 percent month-on-month, bringing total holdings to 1.63 crore shares from 76.35 lakh shares in February.  

Adani Energy Solutions also saw a notable uptick, with mutual fund investments rising by 22.35 percent, followed by Adani Enterprises, which recorded a 7.31 percent increase. Additionally, AWL Agri Business and Adani Power witnessed smaller gains of 1.18 percent and 0.74 percent, respectively.  

Despite the increased exposure in these five companies, mutual funds reduced their holdings in other Adani Group firms, including Adani Total Gas, where investments dropped by 45.67 percent. Sanghi Industries and Ambuja Cements also saw declines in mutual fund stakes, indicating a selective approach to portfolio adjustments.  

Among the fund houses, Kotak Mutual Fund led investments in Adani Green Energy, holding Rs 432.20 crore worth of shares, followed by SBI Mutual Fund with Rs 250.69 crore. HDFC Mutual Fund emerged as the largest investor in Adani Energy Solutions, with holdings valued at Rs 630 crore.
