NASA's Moon Rush: Two Private Landers Set for Lunar Touchdown in Historic Week

In a groundbreaking week for space exploration, NASA's commercial partners are poised to make history with two lunar landings. Firefly Aerospace's Blue Ghost lander is scheduled to touch down in the Mare Crisium region on March 2 at 3:34 AM EST, carrying 10 NASA payloads. Just days later, on March 6, Intuitive Machines' Athena lander will attempt to reach Mons Mouton. These missions, part of NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services initiative, mark a new era in lunar exploration, with private companies playing a crucial role in establishing a sustainable presence on the Moon.
