Adani Energy Solutions expands transmission footprint in Gujarat
Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) announced it has secured a Letter of Intent from PFC Consulting Limited for a major transmission project in Gujarat’s Khavda renewable energy zone. The project, awarded under Phase-V (8 GW) Part C through a tariff-based competitive bidding process, will facilitate evacuation of 2.5 GW of renewable power.
The initiative includes setting up a 2500 MW High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) system between KPS III and South Olpad, covering approximately 1200 circuit kilometers. Once completed, AESL’s transmission network will expand to 27,905 ckm with a transformation capacity of 97,236 MVA. This project is expected to play a pivotal role in enabling large-scale renewable integration into India’s grid, supporting the country’s clean energy transition.
