Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (ABFRL) has received a tax order imposing a demand of ₹48.2 million. The order, issued by the Joint Commissioner of Central Tax Rangareddy GST commissionerate in Hyderabad, Telangana, relates to a dispute over input tax credit claims. The demand includes ₹22.5 million in tax, with interest and penalties not quantified in the order. ABFRL maintains that the demand is untenable and plans to file an appeal with the appropriate authority. This development follows recent GST-related orders received by the company, including a demand of ₹2.45 crore reported in December 2024.
