Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has launched Bodhan AI, a Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence for education, at the Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave 2026 in New Delhi. The initiative will develop the Bharat EduAI Stack an open, interoperable digital infrastructure designed to embed AI-powered learning solutions across India’s education ecosystem.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan unveiled Bodhan AI, a non-profit Centre of Excellence incubated at IIT Madras, to spearhead India’s AI-driven education transformation. The launch took place during the Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, attended by policymakers, academic leaders, researchers, and AI-focused startups.
The Bharat EduAI Stack, envisioned as a sovereign digital public infrastructure, will integrate AI tools across all levels of education from primary schools to advanced research. The initiative aims to empower students with personalized learning, support teachers with AI-driven aids, and ensure inclusivity by making solutions accessible in multiple languages and regions.
Pradhan emphasized that embedding AI in education is not just a technological upgrade but a foundational step toward building a self-reliant, future-ready India.
