Anantapur is poised for an industrial leap as District Collector Dr. Vinod Kumar spearheads a comprehensive drive to create a more investor-friendly environment, aiming to attract new industries and accelerate economic development. Chairing the latest District Industries and Export Promotion Committee (DIEPC) meeting, Dr. Kumar directed officials to streamline processes and ensure swift approvals for industrial projects, signaling a new era of proactive governance.
 
Key Highlights:
 
Single-Window Clearance: The Collector emphasized the importance of the single-desk portal, urging departments to provide all necessary permissions quickly and efficiently. Pending applications for industrial units are to be processed without delay, reducing bureaucratic hurdles for entrepreneurs.
 
Financial Incentives: A subsidy of Rs. 62.86 lakh was approved for 21 units under the Industrial Development Policy, reinforcing the district’s commitment to supporting new and expanding businesses.
 
Inclusive Growth Initiatives: Dr. Kumar called for expedited loans under the PMEGP and Stand-Up India schemes and instructed officials to identify and support eligible applicants under the Vishwakarma scheme with training and financial aid.
 
Innovation and MSME Focus: The Collector encouraged self-help groups (SHGs) and farmers to explore emerging opportunities in banana fiber products, such as eco-friendly bags and hats, leveraging local resources for industrial diversification.
 
Digital Integration: Thirteen services related to the Industries Department have been integrated into the Mana Mitra WhatsApp service via APIIC, making information and application processes more accessible to the public.
 
Leadership Recognition: Dr. Kumar credited Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh for their vision in establishing renewable integrated complexes and Harit Amrit industries, setting the stage for sustainable industrial growth.
 
With these bold measures, Anantapur is positioning itself as a magnet for investment, innovation, and inclusive industrial progress.
