Apple Launches Free Repair Program for Some 2023 Mac Mini Models in India
Apple has just announced a free repair program in India for certain 2023 Mac mini models with the M2 chip. If you bought a Mac mini last year and it suddenly won’t turn on, you might be eligible for a no-cost fix.

Here’s what you need to know:
  • The issue only affects some Mac mini units made between June and November 2024. The problem is pretty specific: the computer just won’t power on.
  • To find out if your Mac mini qualifies, you’ll need to check the serial number on Apple’s support website. Only devices with the “no power” issue are covered.
  • If your Mac mini is eligible, you can take it to any Apple Store or authorised service provider in India for a free repair. This applies even if your warranty or AppleCare+ has already expired.
The repair program will be available for three years from the original purchase date. It’s a global program, but you’ll need to get your device fixed in the country where you bought it.
The program only covers this specific power issue. If your Mac mini has other problems or damage, you might need to get those fixed separately, and there could be extra costs.

Apple suggests backing up your data before bringing in your device, just to be safe.

If you think your Mac mini might be affected, it’s worth checking your serial number and getting in touch with Apple support.
