The Telangana government has launched the Bhu Bharati awareness campaign in Kodangal, marking a significant step toward transforming land administration in the state. The campaign, inaugurated by Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, aims to educate farmers and landowners about the newly enacted Telangana Bhu Bharati (Record of Rights in Land) Act, 2025.
Replacing the Dharani system, which faced criticism for its inefficiencies, the Bhu Bharati portal promises a streamlined and transparent approach to land transactions. The initiative seeks to eliminate the need for farmers to navigate complex bureaucratic processes, ensuring quicker resolution of land-related issues.
During the launch event in Kajipur village, officials highlighted the portal’s features, including time-bound corrections and secure land title issuance. Farmers were encouraged to familiarize themselves with the Act to fully benefit from its provisions. The campaign will extend across the state, with awareness programs scheduled in every mandal until April 28.
This initiative is being hailed as a model for other states, showcasing Telangana’s commitment to modernizing land administration and empowering its agricultural community.
