The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has formally released the Class 12 results of 2025, with a total pass percentage of 88.39%. The results of this year have marginally increased compared to previous year, and girls have topped boys again.
Highlights of the Release:
Overall Pass Percentage: 88.39%, increasing by 0.41% compared to the previous year.
Gender Performance:

Girls' pass percentage: 91.52%

Boys' pass percentage: 85.70%
Girls surpassed boys by 5.94 percentage points.
Region-Wise Toppers:

Vijayawada: 99.60% (highest pass percentage)

Trivandrum: 99.39%

Chennai: 97.39%

Bengaluru: 95.95%

Delhi (West & East combined): 95.18%.
Exam Details:

Organized between February 15 to April 4, 2025 in 7,330 exam centres.

16,92,794 students appeared, and 14,96,307 were successful.

New Grading System:

CBSE has implemented Relative Grading, deviating from fixed mark ranges.

It is intended to cut down pressure and unhealthy competition.
Compartment Exams:
Students who fail in one or two subjects can sit for supplementary exams in July.
What's Next?
With the new grading system by CBSE, students will be assessed on peer performance, thus making results more balanced. The compartment exam timetable will be announced shortly, and students can apply for re-evaluation or answer sheet photocopies prior to availing verification.
