Growth of Luxury Cruising Viking has announced its first-ever India river cruises with the launch of the purpose-built Viking Brahmaputra—a stylish, 80-guest ship to sail the Brahmaputra River. Being built and launching later in 2027, the vessel represents a significant milestone in Viking's global growth.

Key Highlights

The 15-day India Wonders tour will operate roundtrip from Delhi

They will be provided with hotel stay in Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, and an eight-day boat ride from Guwahati to Nimati Ghat in Assam.

It includes 13 guided excursions and tours to up to 10 UNESCO World Heritage Sites

Onboard Experience

Each of the 40 staterooms will feature floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors and private verandas

Amenities range from a Spa & Fitness Center, outdoor Sky Bar, to Scandinavian-styled interiors on three decks

The vessel guarantees interactive experiences of temples, wildlife, and river island cultures

Cultural Immersion

Tourists will tour India's Golden Triangle, including the Taj Mahal, Old Delhi, and Palace of Winds in Jaipur

The river leg is also inclusive of meetings with single-horned rhinos in Kaziranga National Park and trips to Majuli Island

Optional pre- and post-cruise extensions are Dubai, Kathmandu, Cochin, and Mumbai

Booking Outlook

Viking is offering North American travelers with up to $5,000 per couple in early booking discounts in addition to reduced airfare
