In a dramatic first half of their innings, Delhi Capitals (DC) have found themselves reeling at 37 for 5 after 9 overs against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Electing to field first, SRH bowlers dominated right from the outset. Pat Cummins was the wrecker-in-chief, claiming 3 wickets for just 12 runs in his 3 overs, dismissing Karun Nair, Faf du Plessis, and Abishek Porel in quick succession.
Jaydev Unadkat backed up the assault with a miserly spell of 3-0-8-1, removing KL Rahul, who top-scored so far with 10. Harshal Patel chipped in by removing skipper Axar Patel. DC’s scoring rate has struggled, with a current run rate of 4.11.
At the crease are Tristan Stubbs (4 off 8) and Vipraj Nigam (4 off 6), desperately trying to stabilize the innings. With heavyweights like Mitchell Starc and Dushmantha Chameera yet to bat, DC will hope for a late recovery. For now, SRH hold a commanding grip on the game.
