Tech-Driven Orchard: On the outskirts of Bengaluru is MangoMaze, a 15-acre orchard revolutionizing mango cultivation. With 25,000 mango trees being cultivated under the watchful eye of drones and AI panels, it is no ordinary orchard—it's a high-density, high-tech wonder.

Innovation Spotlights:

MangoMaze uses a quantum-density tree-planting system with 1,450 trees per acre—15 times more than the standard amount

Drone-mounted imaging devices monitor tree health, pest infestation, and growth rates

AI-powered dashboards read real-time signals from soil sensors, weather sources, and drones to manage irrigation, fertilization, and pest control

The whole farm is managed by a group of three on-site staff, with remote management in Barcelona

Efficiency in Action

Drip irrigation with soil sensors save as much as 70 percent of water consumption

The trees are spaced only 3x7 feet apart in rows, requiring continuous checking for precision

The result: up to seven times greater yield compared to conventional mango plantations

Global Inspiration, Local Impact:

Founder Suraj Panigrahy, BITS Pilani alumnus and international corporate exposure, was inspired by European vineyards

Exposure to accurate grape production in Austria, Italy, and France influenced MangoMaze's strategy

The farm cultivates export-quality premium Alphonso mangoes to increase India's share in mango exports from the current 10–12 percent.

Sustainability Focus:

Organic control processes like neem oil and pollination by bees replace chemical sprays

The farm model promotes climate-smart farming, land conservation, and minimal use of human labor

MangoMaze is paving the way as a model for India's future-proof, tech-driven agriculture
