From Grill to Chill: Barbeque-Nation Set to Own 51% of Willow Gourmet by June

Barbeque-Nation Hospitality Limited disclosed today that it is poised to acquire the remaining 8.64% equity interest in Willow Gourmet Private Limited, successfully completing its plan of having majority ownership or 51% in the ice-cream company. The acquisition is anticipated to take effect by June 30, 2025 as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to expand its penetration into the premium dining and dessert space. 

 

This decision follows Barbeque-Nation’s earlier purchase of a 42.36% stake in Willow Gourmet, completed in March 2025. Barbeque-Nation’s acquisition strategy of a phased transaction began with the execution of a Share Subscription Agreement and Shareholders’ Agreement in February 2025. Once the accrued 8.64% shareholding is fully vested, Barbeque-Nation will hold a majority stake in Willow Gourmet, thus aligning with the company's broader Growth strategy in the food and hospitality industry. 

 

Barbeque-Nation Hospitality has reported stronger financial performance over the last few financial quarters, with net profits of ₹4.53 crore for the quarter ending December 31, 2024, and having prior three quarters of leading to negative net profits. The revenue reported for the same quarter was ₹334.41 crore.
