From India to Indo-Pacific: Sandhya Devanathan Levels Up at Meta

Meta India Vice President and Head Sandhya Devanathan has been tasked with additional responsibility to lead Meta's business in Southeast Asia, as Asia-Pacific chief Dan Neary is set to leave after 12 years. Announced in her LinkedIn post, Devanathan will now oversee Meta's strategic direction in two of its fastest-growing and most significant markets-India and Southeast Asia, including key nations like Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines.

 

This broader mandate reflects the trust Meta has placed in her experienced leadership, visionary thinking, and robust regional expertise. She will be joined by Benjamin Joe, also a 14-year Meta veteran, as Regional Vice President for Asia Pacific from July 2025.

 

Devanathan's leadership is set to steer Meta's development in AI, digital infrastructure, and monetization of its platform, to enhance its relationships with partners and users in these multi-diverse economies.
