Game On: PlayStation Plus Powers Up May 2025 With a Trio of Blockbusters

PlayStation Plus subscribers are in for a surprise this May, with Sony releasing three massive free titles for all tiers starting May 6. The highlight is Balatro, the acclaimed roguelike deckbuilder and 2024 Game of the Year candidate, praised for its addictive gameplay and innovative twist on card mechanics. Completing the list are Ark: Survival Ascended, a visually revamped multiplayer survival adventure on a dinosaur world (PS5 exclusive), and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, an FPS inspired by the retro aesthetics of old-school shoot-em-ups on the classic Warhammer backdrop.

 

These titles are going to be available until June 2 for redemption. While fans rejoice at the new additions, it's also a month of major departures with more than 20 games - including GTA V and Batman: Arkham Knight - leaving the PS Plus collection.
