Almost half would trade lower compensation for improved work-life balance, and just a smattering want C-suite positions, prioritizing happiness over prestige.
Revising the Employer-Employee Agreement:
The old psychological contract of loyalty for stability is no more. Gen Z wants respect, decent pay, and independence from day one. They will not hesitate to switch ship from jobs that are not values-based or that lack good opportunities, with 47% opting for a job change within two years if it fails.
Entrepreneurial and Tech-Savvy:
Gen Z is leveraging online channels to establish side ventures and ventures, and nearly two-thirds of young professionals are looking or exploring other sources of income. They're also anticipating digital-first workplaces, valuing efficiency and innovation over convention.
Impact Through Generations:
Gen Z values are influencing earlier generations and transforming company cultures. Companies embracing flexibility, diversity, and mental health support are thriving, as success shifts to include purpose, balance, and well-being for all.
