In a historic spiritual gathering, millions of Jains and peace-seekers worldwide came together on April 9, 2025, to chant the sacred Navkar Mantra. Organized by the Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO), the event marked the Vishwa Navkar Maha Mantra Divas, coinciding with the auspicious Chaitra month and the eve of Mahavir Janma Kalyanak, the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir, the 24th Jain Tirthankara.
The collective recital spanned over 600 religious and community centers in India and extended to 108 countries, uniting participants from diverse backgrounds. The mantra chanting, held from 7:01 AM to 9:36 AM, aimed to promote peace, spiritual awakening, and universal harmony. Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined the initiative virtually, emphasizing the mantra's universal appeal and its ability to inspire brotherhood and togetherness.
The event also saw participation from non-Jains, highlighting the inclusive nature of the Navkar Mantra's message. Organizers emphasized the mantra's transformative power, fostering compassion, self-realization, and inner purity. The initiative reflects the profound impact of collective spirituality in addressing global challenges and fostering unity among diverse communities.
