Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared Amaravati the embodiment of Andhra Pradesh’s aspirations and a catalyst for India’s development vision, Viksit Bharat. At the relaunch of Amaravati’s capital works, Modi laid foundation stones for projects worth nearly ₹60,000 crore, including the Assembly, Secretariat, High Court, and major infrastructure upgrades.
Modi invoked Amaravati’s historical legacy as “the capital of the Gods,” calling its revival a “divine sign” for the creation of ‘Swarna Andhra’-a prosperous, innovative, and inclusive Andhra Pradesh. He emphasized that Amaravati is not just a city, but a transformative force to make Andhra a leader in IT, AI, green energy, education, and healthcare, pledging full central support for its rapid development.
Modi appealed to all the stakeholders to join hands and fulfill the dream of the late N.T. Rama Rao to make Amaravati the development hub of developed India by 2047
