Grace Meets the Divine: Wadiyar Royals Pay Reverent Visit to Tirumala Temple

Members of royal household Pramoda Devi Wadiyar and Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar made a significant visit to Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Temple on May 19, 2025, reaffirming centuries-old royal patronage. As part of the pilgrimage, Pramoda Devi donated 50-kg giant silver lamps to the temple, repeating a 300-year-old tradition that began with Mysuru monarchs. The donation has been welcomed wholeheartedly by temple management and is considered a step bridging the tried and tested bond between Mysuru dynasty and Tirumala.

 

The royal visit occurred within a time of high festival and ritual seasons at Tirumala, providing national exposure to the religious and cultural significance of the temple. The visit of the Mysuru royals and the action of devotion were blessed by joy by admirers and covered widely in local news, hailing the family's commitment to heritage and charity.
