Indian Industries Association (IIA) during its 310th Central Executive Committee meeting organized at IIA Bhawan, Lucknow, unveiled a comprehensive road map for the MSME sector for the period 2025–26. With National President Dinesh Goyal at the helm, the session witnessed over 100 senior government members from Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Delhi participating, and it was a major start to the new term.
Strategic priorities of MSMEs
- Ease of doing business: IIA is actively working with central and state governments to ease regulatory systems. Meeting with CEO of Invest UP resulted in suggested reforms under Nivesh Mitra 3.0
- Labor law reforms: PF and ESI department contact aims to reduce bureaucratic delays and ease compliance
- Integration of technology: IIA will implement capacity-development interventions through Google and Microsoft software with a significant push for AI adoption. Subsidized consultancy support has been proposed to accelerate technology change
Skill upgradation and exhibitions
- New skill programs for industry as per industry requirements are on the drawing boards with the government authorities
- Some of the major industrial expos scheduled are Build India Expo, Defense and Engineering Goods Expo, India Solar Expo, India Food Expo, and Tourism Expo—intended to enable domestic and international market access
Policy advocacy and infrastructure
- IIA is lobbying for reforms in the Pleas Park Scheme, industry zone development charges, and open access electricity - 34th Annual General Meeting will be held on 8th August at Hotel Ramada, Lucknow
