A landmark achievement marked the 25th convocation of the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-B) as an Integrated M.Tech student secured a record-breaking annual package of Rs 1.45 crore, the highest in the institute’s history. The event, held on campus in Bengaluru, celebrated not only this individual triumph but also the institute’s growing stature as a premier destination for technology talent.

The Rs 1.45 crore package is the highest ever offered to a graduate at IIIT-B, underscoring the institute’s reputation for academic excellence and industry relevance.
 
The convocation saw 372 students graduate across various programs, including Integrated M.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc. in Digital Society, M.S. by Research, and Ph.D.
 
Fourteen students received offers exceeding Rs 60 lakh per annum, while 67 students crossed the Rs 40 lakh mark. Over 180 students secured packages above Rs 20 lakh per annum.
 
The placement season featured top recruiters from global technology giants, reflecting the strong demand for IIIT-B graduates in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, VLSI, wireless communication, and digital society.
 
The convocation was graced by distinguished guests, including Prof. Govindan Rangarajan, Director of IISc Bangalore, and Dr. Venkat Padmanabhan, Managing Director of Microsoft Research India. The ceremony was presided over by Kris Gopalakrishnan, Chairman of the IIIT-B Governing Body.
