Indian women's hockey team will start a thrilling five-match tour of Australia from April 26 to May 4, 2025. The tour will start with two games against Australia A on April 26 and 27, and then three tough battles against the world No. 5 Australian senior team on May 1, 3, and 4 at Perth Hockey Stadium.
India ranked ninth in the world, comes with momentum from their recent convincing win over world No. 1 Netherlands where they won a bonus-point shootout. The series will be important preparation for the European leg of the FIH Pro League which begins in June.
Head Coach Harendra Singh highlighted the importance of this tour in putting the team to the test against a world-class competitor. Having had previous victories such as their Tokyo Olympics victory against Australia, India hopes to keep demonstrating their prowess on the world stage.
