Bengaluru-based startup Gnani.ai has unveiled Vachana TTS, an advanced AI voice model capable of cloning voices across 12 Indian languages. Launched under the India AI Mission at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, the model delivers near-human speech quality with low error rates, targeting government, enterprise, and multilingual communication needs.
Conversational AI startup Gnani.ai announced the launch of Vachana TTS, a text-to-speech model designed to generate human-like speech and clone voices in multiple Indian languages. Introduced at the India AI Impact Summit in Delhi, the model is part of the company’s Inya VoiceOS stack under the India AI Mission.
Vachana TTS achieves a Mean Opinion Score (MOS) of 4.23 and a character error rate below 0.6%, making it suitable for large-scale deployments in government services, enterprises, and customer engagement platforms. Founders Ganesh Gopalan and Ananth Nagaraj emphasized that the innovation will empower India’s multilingual ecosystem, bridging gaps in accessibility and digital inclusion.
This marks Gnani.ai’s second major release under its sovereign AI initiative, reinforcing India’s push for homegrown AI solutions with global competitiveness.
