A 27-member Indian delegation of 19 para swimmers and 8 officials will be competing in the 2025 Para Swimming World Series in Barcelona, Spain, from March 20-23. This is a significant step towards the participation of Indian para-sportspersons in the upcoming Singapore World Para Swimming Championships.
The competition will feature 223 athletes from 37 nations competing in multi-class events at the Club Natació Barcelona water complex. India is sure to showcase their talent at the international stage, with top swimmers hoping to deliver outstanding performances to raise their positions.
Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya appreciated the dedication of the athletes and commended India's commitment towards empowering para-athletes. The event will also offer a chance to enhance India's global standing in adaptive sports.
