Info Edge (India) Limited, the owner of popular websites such as Naukri.com and 99acres.com, has been served with a substantial tax notice of ₹170.5 million by the State Tax Officer in Mumbai. This announcement is made on March 26, 2025, arising out of purported discrepancies in the GST filings for the fiscal year 2020-21.

This tax demand has come at a time when Info Edge is posting robust financial numbers, with its Q3 FY2025 consolidated net profit growing 17.6% year-on-year to ₹152.8 crore. The company is likely to contest the order in proper legal recourse.
