Helicopter Service Launch & Operations
  • The service started on May 1, 2025, which coincided with the opening of the doors of the Kedarnath Temple.
  • 20 to 30 flights run daily, carrying five to six passengers per flight.
  • Flights are subject to weather conditions to ensure the safety of passengers.
Booking & Ticket Availability
  • Online booking is possible through the IRCTC Heli Yatra portal, while offline bookings can be done at District Magistrate or Sector Magistrate offices.
  • 150 online bookings are made per day, and advance booking is available for a month.
Safety & Security Arrangements
  • Careful briefings are given to passengers prior to departure.
  • Security has been enhanced at helipads to control crowds and facilitate smooth operations
