Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will lead the Indian delegation to the 58th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Milan, Italy, between May 4 and May 7, 2025. The event will see the participation of official ADB member country delegations and international financial institutions.
Sitharaman will visit Italy as part of the Indian delegation. She will join important events during her visit such as the Governors' Business Session, Governor's Plenary Session, and serve as a panellist in the ADB Governors' Seminar on "Cross-Border Collaboration for Future Resilience." She will also have bilateral meetings with her counterparts from Italy, Japan, and Bhutan, and the President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), and Governor of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC).
The Finance Minister will also hold meetings with the Indian diaspora in Milan and attend a plenary session at the NEXT Milan Forum at Bocconi University, where she will address the topic "Balancing Economic and Climate Resilience." Her schedule involves meetings with international think tanks, business leaders, and CEOs, indicating India's interest in forging international economic cooperation and resilience.
