KPI Green Energy Bags 150 MW Wind Project—Momentum Builds in India’s Renewable Push

KPI Green Energy Ltd. has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) for the development of 150 MW gridconnected wind power projects, adding to its growing portfolio of clean energy assets. The announcement, made in early July 2025, reinforces the company’s position as a key player in India’s transition to sustainable power.

Key Highlights:

The 150 MW capacity will be developed under the Independent Power Producer (IPP) segment.
The project will be executed in phases, with commissioning expected to begin in FY26.
KPI Green will handle engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC), along with land acquisition and power evacuation infrastructure.

Project Scope:

The wind farms will be located in Gujarat, leveraging the state’s favorable wind corridors and existing transmission infrastructure.
KPI Green will deploy highefficiency turbines and integrate realtime monitoring systems to optimize output.
The company aims to secure longterm Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) postapproval from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC).

Strategic Outlook:

This LoI follows a series of recent wins, including solar and hybrid projects totaling over 600 MW.
KPI Green’s cumulative renewable portfolio now exceeds 2,800 MW, with a balanced mix of solar, wind, and hybrid assets.
