The global quest to transform space technology surges today with the 2025 RunSpace Innovation Challenge officially opening its registration doors. Initiated under Taiwan's national "Space Industry Promotion & Talent Cultivation Program," this highly esteemed competition calls on students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and researchers from around the world to share their most creative concepts and useful solutions for tomorrow's space exploration.
In its fourth year, the RunSpace Innovation Challenge is a shining example of what it takes to be a space innovator, providing not only generous cash awards-up to NTD 300,000 (around USD 9,500)-but also certificates to all participants, international visibility, and priceless networking opportunities with the industry's most influential leaders.
This year's competition has three exciting tracks:
-
Innovation Category: For innovative, cross-disciplinary ideas that break the rules of what's possible.
-
Implementation Category: For technically viable and relevant solutions poised for deployment in the real world.
-
Sponsor Special Topic: Organized by HEX20 (India), this track encourages teams to create a CubeSat payload, with the winning project standing to launch on an actual satellite mission in 2027.
RunSpace 2025 is fueled by strategic partnerships with Axiom Space (USA) and HEX20 (India), and internationally supported by collaborator partners Eutelsat OneWeb (France), ispace (Japan), and Odysseus Space (Luxembourg). The partnerships provide mentorship, industry expertise, and an international stage for the contestants to share their skills.
