MIC Electronics Ltd has announced the receipt of fresh work orders from Indian Railways, with a combined value of ₹17.6 million (₹1.76 crore). The company has received Letters of Acceptance (LOAs) from multiple railway divisions, including the Sambalpur Division, for the supply and installation of advanced coach indication systems and emergency lighting units. These contracts reinforce MIC’s growing presence in railway electronics and infrastructure modernization.

Key Highlights
  • Total Order Value: ₹1.76 crore across two contracts
  • Sambalpur Division LOA: For installation of coach guidance systems and passenger information boards
  • DDU Division Order: ₹1.11 crore for Electronic Coach Indication Boards (CIB), fare display boards, and a video wall at Platform No. 7
  • Emergency Lighting Units (ELUs): ₹60 lakh order for onboard safety systems, currently undergoing pilot testing on Vande Bharat trains
  • Execution Timeline: Both projects to be completed within six months from LOA issuance
  • Transparency: No promoter or related-party involvement; awarded through competitive bidding
The Sambalpur Division order focuses on enhancing passenger experience and operational efficiency through real-time coach guidance systems. These systems will help passengers locate their designated coaches more easily, especially during peak travel hours. MIC’s LED-based solutions are known for their durability, clarity, and integration with railway control systems.

The second contract, awarded by the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya (DDU) Division of East Central Railway, includes the installation of fare display boards for UTS/PRS counters and a large-format video wall for public information dissemination. These upgrades are part of Indian Railways’ broader push toward smart station infrastructure.

In parallel, MIC Electronics will supply Emergency Lighting Units (ELUs) designed to maintain visibility and safety during power outages or emergencies. These ELUs are currently undergoing pilot testing on Vande Bharat trains, with final approval expected within 15–25 days. If successful, this could open the door for larger-scale deployment across premium train services.

The company emphasized that both orders are domestic and awarded through open bidding, ensuring compliance with procurement norms. MIC Electronics has a strong track record in railway display systems, having previously executed projects in Ratlam and Rajkot divisions.

These new orders are expected to enhance MIC’s revenue visibility for FY26 and strengthen its order book. The company’s management views this as a strategic win that aligns with its focus on public infrastructure, safety electronics, and smart mobility solutions.
