Murae Organisor Limited, an agri-allied diversified player, has approved on the board acquisition of land in Gujarat's Kutch district as part of its expansion strategy. The company pegs the investment in the project at ₹200 million to ₹250 million and will concentrate on large-scale cultivation of pomegranates and setting up a distillery, further diversifying its agri-business portfolio.
Board Approves Land Acquisition in Kutch:
At its recent board meeting, Murae Organisor Limited cleared a proposal to purchase land in Kutch, Gujarat, placing the company at one of the fastest-growing industrial and agricultural belts of India. The land has been identified for pomegranate cultivation and the setting up of a distillery, underlining Murae's focus on value addition and innovation in agriculture.
Estimated Investment of ₹200–250 Million
The firm aims to invest ₹200 million to ₹250 million for this venture in land acquisition, infrastructure, development of plantations, and establishing a distillery. It would generate fresh sources of revenues as well as create employment opportunities within the area.
Concentration on Pomegranate Farming
Taking advantage of the good agro-climatic conditions of Kutch, Murae Organisor is setting up a high-productivity pomegranate plantation. This is part of the company's overall vision to increase agricultural productivity through scientific farming methods and eco-friendly practices.
Distillery Project for Value Addition:
The new distillery will make use of pomegranates and other local fruits, with emphasis on the manufacture of high-value spirits and extracts. This vertical integration is intended to reap maximum returns from the agricultural value chain and benefit from the expanding domestic and export markets for fruit-based spirits.
Component of Diversification and Growth Strategy:
Murae Organisor Limited, which was previously recognized for business in cattle feed, fertilizers, chemicals, and gold, is strategically widening its presence in high-growing agri-business verticals. The firm recently posted a 384.3% quarter-on-quarter top-line growth and 344.3% quarter-on-quarter rise in net profit in Q3 FY25, on the back of effective execution of new orders and diversification into new business verticals.
Strategic Location and Industrial Synergy
The chosen site in Kutch is close to large industrial and logistics centers, with proximity to Mundra Port, improving export opportunities and supply chain efficiency. The strong infrastructure of the region and government support for agri-processing further strengthen the prospects of the project.
Sustainability and Community Impact
Murae Organisor prioritizes sustainable farming and community development. The venture will create local jobs, promote farmers through contract farming, and support the economy of the region.
"Our goal is to pursue progress and sustainability in all our operations. This new endeavor in Kutch demonstrates Murae Organisor's focus on innovation, value addition, and community development," the company added.
With this lofty investment, Murae Organisor Limited is set to emerge as a market leader in India's agri-business space, fueled by technology, sustainability, and strategic growth for long-term value creation.
