Nani’s much-anticipated crime thriller, HIT: The Third Case, continues its impressive run at the box office, raking in ₹10 crore net across India on its second day, Friday, May 2. After a stellar opening day collection of ₹21 crore, the film’s total domestic earnings now stand at a robust ₹31 crore within just two days of release, according to early trade estimates.
Directed by Sailesh Kolanu, HIT: The Third Case has captivated audiences with its intense storyline and Nani’s powerful performance as SP Arjun Sarkaar. The film maintained strong occupancy rates in Telugu-speaking regions, with Friday’s Telugu occupancy averaging over 52%, and night shows peaking at 66%. The Tamil version saw a more modest turnout, but the pan-India appeal remains evident.
The film's engaging plot and word-of-mouth have helped it beat earlier installments of the HIT franchise, crossing the lifetime collections of HIT: The First Case and HIT: The Second Case within 48 hours. The action thriller also has Srinidhi Shetty, Surya Sreenivas, Rao Ramesh, and Brahmaji in prominent roles.
With the weekend to come and solid word of mouth at the box office, HIT: The Third Case is well-placed to rake in an even greater amount, making Nani the best bankable Tollywood star.
