Net Gains: Japan & Indonesia Rule the Court at Sudirman Cup

At the ongoing TotalEnergies BWF Sudirman Cup Finals 2025 in Xiamen, China, Japan and Indonesia have emerged as group leaders, securing their quarter-final berths.

Japan, playing in Group C, was in top form as they defeated Malaysia 3-2 to finish the group stage undefeated with a 3-0 record and a positive game difference (+20). Malaysia finished in second place to also qualify.

Meanwhile in Group D, Indonesia topped the group unbeaten, defeating Denmark 4-1 in their final encounter. Indonesia finished with a perfect 3-0 slate and a crushing difference in points (+21), with Denmark taking the second spot.

These set up a thrilling knockout stage starting May 2, with top teams like China and South Korea also advancing from their groups.
