President Murmu Hails AIIMS as Healthcare Pioneer at 49th Convocation

President Droupadi Murmu lauded the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) as a pivotal force in healthcare and a "made-in-India success story" during its 49th convocation ceremony. Speaking at Bharat Mandapam, she highlighted AIIMS' role in nurturing top medical professionals and leading groundbreaking research, particularly during global health crises like the COVID-19 pandemic. Murmu emphasized AIIMS' commitment to innovation and patient care, expressing confidence in its continued leadership as India progresses towards developed nation status by 2047. She also urged the institution to address emerging challenges in healthcare, including the needs of an aging population and lifestyle-related diseases.
