Each station is designed to blend modern amenities with local culture and heritage, creating unique gateways for their regions.
  • Modern Amenities: Passengers can now enjoy upgraded waiting rooms, clean toilets, digital information systems, lifts, escalators, Divyangjan-friendly access, organized parking, and green spaces. Many stations feature murals and architecture inspired by local traditions, offering both comfort and a sense of place.
  • Sustainability and Accessibility: The scheme emphasizes energy efficiency, rainwater harvesting, and 100% electrification, ensuring that new infrastructure is both eco-friendly and inclusive.
  • Economic and Social Impact: These stations are set to become vibrant hubs for travel, commerce, and community activities, connecting remote areas, boosting tourism, and supporting local economies.
  • National Vision: PM Modi also laid the foundation stone for additional railway, road, and energy projects worth over ₹26,000 crore during a ceremony in Bikaner, Rajasthan, underscoring the government’s commitment to infrastructure-led growth.
