Rishabh Pant, an adventurous captain, is going through a tough start as the LSG skipper of IPL 2025. Despite being bought in a record sale as the most valuable player ever in IPL for ₹27 crore, Pant hasn't been making significant contributions yet. He has scored a total of 17 runs in just three matches, and his batting and captaincy are being doubted.
Pant's initial game facing his former organization Delhi Capitals was a disappointment since he was out on a duck. Due to his aggressive style of play, such oversights like a vital stumping in the penultimate over against DC have earned him criticism. The bowling weaknesses of LSG have also put the pressure on their campaign and given them some inexplicable defeats.
Pant is optimistic and set to improve the fortunes of LSG as they seek to rebound and battle for the IPL title.
