A mammoth leap towards urban makeover and job creation, India's Sattva Group has pledged ₹15 billion investment in creating a 30-acre integrated campus in Visakhapatnam (Vizag). The development will drive local growth and generate more than 25,000 jobs across industries.

Key Highlights:

The campus will also be unified and span 30 acres and consist of IT parks, commercial space, residential complexes, and social infrastructure.

The ₹15 billion will be spent in installments, and the construction will begin later this year.

The expansion forms part of Andhra Pradesh's efforts to transform Vizag into a hub of innovation and digital economy along India's eastern seaboard.

Strategic Significance:

The project is expected to attract international and domestic ITeS and IT companies, with plug-and-play spaces and green-certified buildings.

Sattva's foray into Vizag is a geographical expansion away from the Bengaluru and Hyderabad hub.

The scheme is in congruence with the state's vision of balanced urbanisation and job creation outside Tier-1 cities.

Employment Effect:

Over 25,000 direct and indirect jobs are estimated, crossing the sectors of construction, IT services, facility management, and allied industries.

The campus will also have skilling centers and incubation areas to nurture local talent and start-ups.

Market Outlook:

With more demand generated for work-live-play environments, the Vizag campus will become a hub for technology firms and young professionals.

Sattva's move supports investor confidence in India's Tier-2 city narrative.
