Streaming Sensation: Shahid Kapoor’s Farzi 2 Salary Sends Shockwaves Through OTT Industry

Shahid Kapoor has officially joined the league of the highest-paid Indian OTT stars, with it being reported that he will receive a staggering ₹45 crore for the second season of the hit Amazon Prime Video series, Farzi. The record-breaking salary is the biggest paycheck of Shahid's career, nearly doubling his usual fee of ₹25–30 crore per film.

 

Farzi, which hit the screens in 2023, was an instant success for its gripping crime-thriller storyline and outstanding performances. The sequel, helmed by award-winning directors Raj & DK, will go on floors in December 2025 after finishing their current project, Rakt Brahmand. The second season will be a high-octane battle between Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, and Kay Kay Menon, continuing from where the first season ended and turning into a massive hit.

 

Production sources confirm that the core plot for Farzi 2 has already been decided with Shahid, and the show is to go on air in the second half of 2026. This, with Shahid Kapoor, cements his position as one of the leading players in the field of digital entertainment, setting a new standard for actor fees on OTT.
