Univastu India Ltd has informed the receipt of a major work order of ₹40.7 million (₹4.07 crore) for the overall development of a new swimming pool complex at Gen. Arun Kumar Vaidya Kridangan, Bandra, Mumbai. The work order includes the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the swimming pool complex.
The project funded by BMC is part of a comprehensive program for addressing the dearth of public swimming pools in the Bandra area. The new complex will provide much-needed facilities for people residing in Bandra, Khar, and Santacruz. The swimming pool will be a training pool of dimensions 15x25 metres and will cover 30% of the playground area. It will leave the rest of the playground open to the public.
Work is expected to begin shortly, with completion targeted by August 2025. The order is also further diversifying Univastu India Ltd's portfolio in the sports infrastructure segment, adding to its reputation for delivering quality civil and structural projects across India.
