In a significant step to boost higher education enrolment, the Tamil Nadu School Education Department has directed all government higher secondary schools to conduct a two-hour awareness programme for Class 11 students and their parents by January 31, 2026. The initiative, titled Uyarkalviye Engal Illaku, seeks to bridge the gap between school education and future opportunities by highlighting career pathways, skill-based courses, and financial support schemes.
