Tata Capital is set for an initial public offering (IPO) seeking a valuation of as much as $11 billion, hoping to raise about $2 billion. The IPO has a new-issue of shares as well as an offer-for-sale component. In the meantime, Tata Capital is waiting to obtain NCLT approval for its merger with Tata Motors Finance. The IPO will be India's biggest this year, pending market conditions and regulatory clearances. Tata Capital has to list by September 2025 according to RBI guidelines.
