The Knight's Quest Continues: KKR Gears Up for IPL 2025 with New Captaincy

Three-time IPL champions and defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are set to face the 2025 season with added passion under fresh command. The appointment of Ajinkya Rahane as captain and Venkatesh Iyer as vice-captain has been well received by the team as well as the fans. The roster features mainstays Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, and Varun Chakaravarthy in the lineup alongside fresh recruits including Quinton de Kock and Anrich Nortje. KKR's approach is all about stability and experience, playing off the calm head of Rahane to steady nerves in intense situations. The team has a tightrope run, with a possible postponement of their April 6 fixture against Lucknow Super Giants due to security issues over Ram Navami celebrations. Regardless of these conditions, though, KKR is confident of retaining their crown on the back of a solid core and shrewd leadership.
