US Vice President JD Vance insisted that the US would not intervene in the burgeoning war between India and Pakistan, calling it "fundamentally none of our business" in an interview with Fox News. Vance emphasized that while the US is concerned about the risks of a broader or even nuclear conflict, Washington cannot dictate to either nation and will not interfere in what he described as a risky but regionally limited confrontation. What we can do is pressure these countries to step back, but we will not get involved in a war that is essentially not ours and outside America's capacity," Vance added.

His remarks come in the wake of a dramatic escalation, with India launching missile and drone strikes into Pakistan following a deadly strike in Kashmir and both countries reporting dozens dead. Despite President Trump's diplomatic support, the administration is sticking by a policy of non-intervention, urging calm but making an "America first" policy its priority.
