Vivo is gearing up to launch its flagship foldable, the X Fold 5, in India this July, following its debut in China last month. The device is already making waves for its sleek design, Zeiss-powered triple 50MP camera setup, and a massive 6000mAh battery—the largest ever in a foldable phone.

The X Fold 5 features an 8.03-inch 2K+ LTPO AMOLED inner display and a 6.53-inch Full HD+ cover screen, both with 120Hz refresh rates and 4,500 nits peak brightness. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, it offers up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, running Android 15 with OriginOS 5.

Camera-wise, the foldable boasts a 50MP Sony IMX921 main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and Zeiss T* coating. Dual 20MP selfie cameras are embedded on both displays.

Key Highlights:

- Battery: 6000mAh with 80W wired and 40W wireless charging.
- Durability: IPX8/IPX9 water resistance, IP5X dust protection, tested for 600,000 folds.
- AI Features: Smart Office tools, AI Image Studio, and customizable side button.
- Design: Just 9.2mm thick when folded, 4.3mm when open; weighs 217g.
- Expected Price: ₹84,000–₹1,14,000 depending on variant.

With Flipkart availability confirmed and teaser campaigns underway, Vivo is positioning the X Fold 5 as a premium challenger to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7.
