The final Fit India Sundays on Cycle event of 2025 concluded with a vibrant fitness festival in Kolkata, marking the 54th edition of the weekly nationwide initiative. The Sports Authority of India's Kolkata Regional Centre hosted nearly 1,500 participants, including athletes, corporate professionals, students, CISF jawans, and employees from insurance firms, who came together to celebrate cycling, community, and wellness in a lively, carnival-style atmosphere.

The event featured a special tribute to ten local cycling clubs and state cycling champions, including Fit India ambassadors Kanthi Dutt, Garima Diwakar, Manas Saha, and Raima Majumder.

Arjuna Awardees Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das, along with other Olympians and sports legends from Bengal, joined the festivities, lending their support to the cause of fitness and national health.

Beyond cycling, participants enjoyed Zumba sessions, Bengali folk music performances, yoga displays, rope-skipping exhibitions, and a variety of engaging fitness activities, creating a festive environment for all age groups.

The initiative, launched in December 2024 under the guidance of Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, has grown into a nationwide movement, with over 4,000 NaMo Fit India Cycling Clubs and lakhs of citizens participating every week.

The Fit India Sundays on Cycle programme is organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with the Cycling Federation of India (CFI), Yogasana Bharat, and MY Bharat, making it a truly community-driven fitness revolution.
