NHAI Strikes Back at Black Spots: Ludhiana's Roads Set for Safety Revolution

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has cleared the two vehicle underpasses on two heavy traffic accident hotspots in Ludhiana. The Rs 44 crore plan proposes to relieve the heavy traffic load on the Grand Trunk Road connecting Delhi to Jammu via Ludhiana. NHAI Chairman Santosh Kumar Yadav approved the plan submitted by Rajya Sabha member Sanjeev Arora. The underpasses, to be constructed at Kailash Nagar Chowk and Jassian Road to Guruhar Rai Nagar crossing, will measure 15x2 meters with a clear height of 5.5 meters. The development is a part of a bigger project aiming to redress five identified black spots in the city.
