A high-level government committee has outlined 23 best practices to guide the states in implementing effective development and governance practices. These are distributed across categories including healthcare, education, infrastructure, and sustainable agriculture for fostering innovation as well as the provision of efficient services. Among the prominent takeaways are promoting millet cultivation under state initiatives, embracing technology in government services, enhancing resilience to disasters, and adopting green energy alternatives. The practices have been identified through successful state-level programs and foreign case studies presented by NITI Aayog. The panel emphasized cooperative federalism and urged states to adopt these practices in a bid to achieve inclusive growth.
