PM Modi's Gift to the Nation: Free Food Grains for Millions Under PMGKAY

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the distribution of free benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) in Surat. The scheme is intended to increase food security among the poor. Around 2 lakh beneficiaries were given benefits at the event. The PMGKAY scheme gives free food grains to more than 81 crore beneficiaries across the country. The extension of the scheme provides long-term assistance to vulnerable groups. The activity was under the Surat Food Security Saturation Campaign, which is for full coverage of eligible families.
