QR Code Heist: Scammers Replace Payment Codes Overnight in Khajuraho Shops

Shocking new ways to steal money are being devised by fraudsters in Madhya Pradesh's Khajuraho. They have started replacing legitimate QR codes on different shops and even a petrol pump with fake ones, sending all payments to their accounts. A vigilant customer is said to have caught the scam when the process of payment had discrepancies that called for a review of QR codes by shop owners. Authorities have detained one accused and are now investigating to net more culprits. Regional business owners must be on alert for such activities.
